Santiagueno - Fantasmas 77-81 There was no surprise when 9th ranked Santiagueno (2-5) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Fantasmas (3-3) 81-77 on Tuesday. Strangely Santiagueno outrebounded Fantasmas 57-41 including a 26-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Cuban point guard Osmel Oliva (180-1987) who scored 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American JaCarre Crockett (192-1996, college: Philander Smith) chipped in 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Colombian center Freddy Asprilla (206-1988, college: Canisius) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 27 rebounds and Cuban guard Pedro Roque (187-1995) added 20 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Fantasmas moved-up to fifth place. Santiagueno lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Cojute's players.
